Welcome to the BidScript Blog
In the competitive, fast-changing world of bid and proposal management software, staying ahead isn't optional — it's essential. The pace of innovation, the rise of AI, and the evolving expectations of bid teams have reshaped the landscape faster than many can keep up.
BidScript has been operating in this space for nearly two years. During that time, we've witnessed the rapid rise of large language models, shifting attitudes toward AI among bidders, and a flurry of new entrants in the bid software market — many of whom have failed to deliver real value.
That's exactly why we're launching the BidScript Blog.
This won't be just another corporate content feed. Expect industry trends, behind-the-scenes insights from the BidScript team, lessons learned, and our predictions for where the market is heading — plus how to stay ahead of it.
Our Journey So Far
BidScript was ideated in October 2023 after Tyler and Henry painfully observed a bid team stumble through a tender kickoff. That moment of frustration became the spark.
We then conducted an in-depth investigation of work-winning functions across 100 businesses — ranging from a few million pounds to over £20 billion in revenue, across 13 different sectors. The patterns were clear, and the opportunity was huge: there was a massive gap between how bid teams work today and how they could work with the right intelligence-driven support.
In November 2024, we received £200,000 in investment from Praetura Ventures — a vote of confidence in our vision to build something truly transformative.
Top 5 Lessons We've Learned
-
Pre-bid discipline predicts win rate.
The more thorough a team is before writing starts, the better the final result. Every time.
-
Writing is the highest-leverage activity — treat it that way.
It's not admin. Automate the distractions, not the thinking.
-
Great win themes aren't invented — they're discovered.
Deep understanding of client intent, competitor positioning, and value framing is what separates good bids from winners.
-
Post-mortem analysis is a secret weapon.
The best incumbents do it religiously. The ones who struggle rarely do.
-
Bid professionals using AI will outperform those who don't.
Need we say anymore?
The Current Landscape
Let's be honest: the bid software space is noisy.
New providers are cropping up constantly, most building fast, shallow tools designed to check a box or chase hype. Feature sets are converging, and differentiation is thin. Everyone's promising AI. Everyone's offering automation and quicker first drafts. But most are missing the bigger picture.
We're not here to help you write faster. We're here to help you win more often.
Here's how we're different:
BidScript isn't another writing assistant. We're building an agentic, intelligence-driven operating system for the entire bid lifecycle — tailored for complex, technical industries where success requires more than just speed. It requires strategic depth.
Our system continuously learns from:
- Tender documents (when available)
- Historical submissions and win/loss data (including feedback and marks)
- User behaviour
- Integrations with your core systems (CRM, ERP, etc.)
The result: BidScript becomes a strategic collaborator, not just another tool. It feeds real-time, high-value insights across your process — from capture planning to post-mortem — so you can think better, not just move faster.
What's Next for BidScript
We've already made BidScript more affordable than a night out — and still deliver real value. But no, we're not slowing down.
